What is the Difference between Adjectives and Adverbs?

The Basic Rules: Adjectives

Adjectives modify nouns. To modify means to change in some way. For example: "I ate a meal." Meal is a noun. We don't know what kind of meal; all we know is that someone ate a meal.

The Basic Rules: Adverbs

Adverbs modify verbs, adjectives, and other adverbs. (You can recognize adverbs easily because many of them are formed by adding -ly to an adjective, though that is not always the case.) The most common question that adverbs answer is how. Let's look at verbs first. "She sang beautifully." Beautifully is an adverb that modifies sang. It tells us how she sang.

Virtual English Online - Learn English Anyhow Anytime Anywhere

Hi there,

To our past students, current students and future students, to our families and friends who have supported us throughout our lives to date and also towards the future. We hope you are great and that life has been kind to you.

Ruth and I have been very busy building a new business called Virtual English Online. We are very excited about this new venture and would like to share it with you. Virtual English Online is an online business teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), across three time zones, 24/7 in real-time.

Our aim is to advance English Skills using online, live classes for clients where English is their second language.

Traditionally this was only available through classroom style presentations where everyone must be available at a pre-set time to attend the class. Expensive training forms have little flexibility to meet organisational growth and on-going training requirements, often people missing out on valuable learning or struggling to perform in their role due to conflicting time tables. These traditional approaches can deliver a training solution only at one point in time and they rarely assist in creating an ideal culture for all personnel.

Virtual English Online would like to offer our unrivalled ESL education program using web conferencing technology to deliver face-to-face instruction online to classes in 'real-time' to clients who wish to learn ESL either at home, at the office, or in a corporate training room.

Virtual English Online General English classes begin October 22nd 2007

Course Descriptions and Fees.

Virtual English Online courses include:

General English

Business

Hospitality

Tourism

Preparation for Cambridge Examinations:

IELTS

TOEFL

Our classes are simple to administer, you can have people started in a click of a button. All lessons are recorded and a Learning Management System (LMS) is in place to track performance and to provide feedback on their learning.

Progressive organisations now require on-demand training that can meet the changing dynamics of their teams and most importantly become an asset of the organisation.

We believe our online language school will be the first of its kind in the world and would be so grateful if you can be apart of its beginning. By clicking on the links is one way of supporting us, please forward this to your family, friends, aquaintances, business identities, schools, sporting groups, committees, career training organisations, anybody who may benefit or have clients who wish to advance their English Skills.

We are currently advertising for teachers, applications close 1st September, tefl.com or
eslbase. Please subscribe to our Weekly News and/or blog 'Our ESL Students' feedburner. Look for this icon under my profile, scroll up and look to the right.

Many thanks for taking the time to look at our business 'Virtual English Online'. Please forward our email and take care for now.

Kind Regards

Karen and Ruth
